Before founding Kunkemoeller Law Office, Pamela was most recently the General Counsel and Senior Vice President for a $1.3 billion international industrial maintenance services company with over 15,000 employees. She started her career at a boutique corporate/securities law firm in Cincinnati, Ohio before moving to Houston, Texas to work in the corporate/securities section of a mid-sized law firm. When she decided to leave private practice, Pamela went inhouse with an electric, gas and telecommunications specialty contractor, later working for a Fortune 500 oilfield services company and as General Counsel of a $2 billion international oilfield distribution company. Throughout her career, Pamela has worked on a diverse array of matters. Below are some of the more interesting ones.

Transactions

Private auction divestiture of $2 billion international oilfield distribution company. For work on this transaction, Pamela was a finalist for the Houston Business Journal Best Counsel for a Complex Transaction award.

$11 billion merger of publicly traded oilfield services company and service on the integration team.

$3.2 billion acquisition of publicly traded oilfield services company.

$213 million IPO of pharmaceutical company.

Leadership

Overhaul legal department to regain the trust of the business leaders – eliminating a
six-month backlog, bridging the gap between business groups and implementing contract standards to mitigate risk while improving efficiencies.

Restructure real estate and facility management functions to increase effectiveness and service support levels.

Build relationships with and manage outside counsel to improve service levels and decrease legal costs.

Corporate Governance and Compliance

Develop and implement of company-wide contract review approval processes, including risk identification and training programs.

Design and implement of global compliance program.

Design and teach Legal, Leadership and Ethics training program for mid-level managers.
